UNICAJA

BANK

Unicaja Banco has opted for process automation as a key element in its journey towards digital transformation, with the aim of achieving significant growth in its business and exponentially increasing customer satisfaction.
After working together on several training initiatives in the development and architecture of IBM’s automation platform, as well as several sessions on architecture design and best practices, Unicaja Banco selected Habber Tec as the consultancy firm to accompany it in this new initiative.

Leveraging its experience in other large consumer banks such as CaixaBank, Banco Popular -later acquired by Santander-, and Itaú in Brazil -the largest Latin American bank and one of the largest in the world-, Habber Tec has carried out a consulting and development project to provide Unicaja Banco with a global process architecture framework prioritising a palette of reusable components in different business processes and taking into consideration its business needs at the corporate level, such as standardisation, security, leverage and more. Thus, the bank will have everything it needs to automate any type of process in different areas in the fastest, most efficient, maintainable and homogeneous way; these can be used by different internal or external channels.

After the fusion with Liberbank in which Unicaja Banco had to decide between two tools for process automation, it opted for IBM technology (IBM Business Automation Workflow of the IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation) as it was the one that best adapted to its technological and functional needs, as well as for its great scalability and capacity for integration with the IBM mainframe.
