97% of IBEX companies now report on their sustainability practices, compared to 71% the previous year, according to a report presented by the Spanish Network of the United Nations Global Compact. Despite this progress in transparency, many organisations still continue to use manual processes and tools such as files and spreadsheets, which increases the risk of errors and delays the delivery of reports. And if we leave the realm of large companies, which are leading the way for the time being, there is still much more work to be done.

With the new European regulations, notably the CSRD, companies are obliged to comply with stricter sustainability reporting requirements. And it is not only large companies that are affected – approximately 50,000 companies in Europe will be obliged to submit sustainability reports to improve the transparency of their social and environmental impact from 2025 onwards.
