The Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA) is the governing body for athletics in Spain, responsible for organising official competitions, promoting the practice of this sport in all its disciplines and supporting the development of national athletes. Founded on 27 March 1920 in Bilbao, it represents Spain before international bodies such as World Athletics and European Athletics. Headquartered in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), the RFEA manages the national teams, coordinates championships such as those in Spain, and promotes training, innovation, and sustainability programmes, highlighting initiatives such as the strategic plan ‘Vision 32’.
