Founded on 27 March 1920 in Bilbao, it represents Spain before international bodies such as World Athletics and European Athletics. Headquartered in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), the RFEA manages the national teams, coordinates championships such as those in Spain, and promotes training, innovation, and sustainability programmes, highlighting initiatives such as the strategic plan ‘Vision 32’.
