The Digirest project is one of the beneficiaries of the first call for the “Última Milla” aid, aimed at the digitalisation of tourist SMEs and framed within the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) of the Government of Spain, which has been financed with the European Next Generation funds. An Integrated System for the Restaurant Industry
Digirest is a comprehensive solution that addresses both the technical aspects of restaurant management and the more human and enjoyable elements of social interaction. It consists of a mobile app that allows the diner to place an order for drinks and/or meals upon entering the restaurant. The visitor can download the app onto their phone and place an order from there, or they can use a tablet placed on each table in the establishment to make their order; this reduces waiting times. Additionally, the system makes recommendations, in other words, it enhances the customer experience.
The 360º development of Digirest spans from improving the customer experience to automating internal processes. Furthermore, it promotes sustainable practices and energy savings, contributing to environmental protection. This technological solution will enable restaurants to establish themselves in less privileged areas without the need to be in prime real estate locations, thus revitalising forgotten areas.

- Improvement of the customer experience. Thanks to the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence, the system recognises customers, welcomes them, and offers personalised recommendations based on their preferences and previous purchases.
- Automation of the establishment. Internal processes, from customer service to interaction with the kitchen, are digitalised and automated, reducing improvisation and improving efficiency.
- Promotion of hygiene and sustainability measures. Digirest incorporates technologies that promote sustainability and energy savings, improving hygiene practices and contributing to environmental care.
- Retention of customer knowledge. High staff turnover in the restaurant industry will no longer be a problem, as the system retains and manages customer knowledge, ensuring a consistent and personalised experience.

The Digirest project is specifically aimed at the restaurant subsector within the tourism sector.
